If you and/or your organisation want to take this further and you're wondering what to do next, have no fear. Below is a handy guide for both the individual and for an organisation as to what to do and what to expect.
I’m interested in finding out how John Stannard Consulting can help me in my working life
Q: I’d like to learn more about the coaching/mentoring process, what do I do next?
A: Simply complete the contact enquiry section, which you’ll find on each page and here. Just make sure you pop in an email address that is best to reach you.
Q: How long will I have to wait until hear from you?
A: I will get back to you within 48 hours. If you haven’t heard from me, please check your spam/junk folder just in case my reply is in there. In my reply I’ll perhaps clarify some details from the nature of your enquiry and then suggest that we arrange a phone call/Facetime/Zoom to chat things through as an introduction.
Q: Will I be charged for this initial conversation?
A: Not at all. It’s a 30 - 45 minute call just to formally introduce ourselves, perhaps get an overview of your situation and whether I can help you at all. There is no obligation to commit to any sessions after the call.
Q: After our conversation, I would like to engage in some sessions. How many should we arrange?
A: For your initial consultation it will be three sessions lasting an hour each. If you want to continue we can arrange another block of three or five for example, or simply book one session at a time.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: The cost is £375 for the first block of three sessions. Further ongoing support can be arranged as a block of sessions or session by session basis.
Q: When do you require payment?
A: Payment is in advance of our session time so I’ll send you an invoice before the initial block of three. Any subsequent sessions will be invoiced for payment beforehand.
Q: When do you hold consultations?
A: Normally Monday to Friday, however there may be the occasional Saturday morning available. The consultations seem to be at their most effective while we’re in the work environment. If at all possible, they should be during the working day, morning or afternoon, to fit in with your work schedule if your organisation allows for CPD, or during your lunch break. Before your working day starts or when it finishes can be a possibility too.
Q: How frequently should I have my first three sessions?
A: It’s based on what works best for you, it could be every two, three or four weeks. We would look at what opportunities between sessions you have to put into practice the things we work on and the time you need to reflect on them, as well as it being fresh in your mind to bring to the next consultation.
Q: How do you hold sessions? Face to face, digitally or over the phone?
A: All three. Normally I would like to at least have most first sessions, and following ones, as face to face (travel distances permitting) but with Covid – 19 we all have to adjust for our safety and wellbeing. For the time being it will have to be digitally or over the phone. When it is safe to eventually meet up, we can discuss any travel considerations.
Q: If I have an unexpected event that I may need help in preparation for, such as a meeting or presentation, can I arrange for a last minute consultation digitally or over the phone?
A: Absolutely, I’ll always do my best to find time for you.
Q: If we haven’t met for some time after our initial run of sessions, is it ok to be in contact again to resume our mentoring/coaching relationship?
A: Of course you can. If it works for both parties, there is no time limit on a positive and progressive coaching relationship.

A: Not at all. It’s a 45 – 60 minute call just to formally introduce ourselves, perhaps get an overview of your situation and that of your organisation. Q: After our conversation, I would like to engage in some sessions for me and/or for some of my staff. How many should we arrange?
A: For an individual the initial run is three sessions and additionally we would also have to agree a schedule to take into account the number of staff that you want to include in this programme. After the first programme we can then discuss if we continue with certain individuals or devise a second schedule for different identified staff.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: The commercial rate for the block of three sessions starts at £525. However, if you want to book sessions and further ongoing support for a number of staff members, once we agree numbers and scheduling, I can quote for a programme also taking into account any travel expenses.
Q: When do you require payment?
